Narcissism index goes through roof
In the latest research abusing the younger (US) generation, it's revealed that their scores on the Narcissistic Personality Inventory (questions like "If I ruled the world, it would be a better place") have been heading skywards since 1982. The researchers say "narcissists tend to lack empathy, react aggressively to criticism and favor self-promotion over helping others."

I am involved in a project that is examining these findings, it turns out that the sample she used is biased and the mean differences are not significantly different than those reported by raskin & terry from the late 80's. Great example of bad research.
Interesting - thanks for posting. Can you (or anyone) give us any references to more authoritative studies?
