NZ Again: Encouraging People to Commit to Education
Another set of ads on New Zealand TV at the moment encourage the population to "get there with learning". I like these ads - they exude a positive, inspirational tone which could be well worth emulating. I see now that they are targeted solely at the Maori community:

Could be good. I wish there were evidence that "inspirational" ad campaigns work. I have no reason to think they don't, but is information collected for them the way commercial marketers do for their ads?
yes that would be useful. I don't suppose we could get involved with researching such questions, as if we are to distinguish ourselves from puritan totalitarian 'no-saying' w.r.t. our educational mission (which we must in order to succeed, IMO), it seems to me that this kind of 'yes-saying' is the territory which remains.
